Time to say goodbye :(

After we have submitted our last assignment, we do our online quiz today! I’m so nervous with the quiz hahaha but after the quiz, I think I can do it well actually since the questions are just need to recall back with what we have learnt in the class.

So, today is our last day in this class. How time flies right? 😢

Since today is our last class, I want to say million thanks to Madam Azida because she taught us a lot with full of guidance and patience. I got a lot of knowledge and experience by having this subject in this semester. I learn so many things which I never knew before like Canva, Podcast, Explained Video and Smart Builder. I hope it can be useful for me in the future later. Next, I want to thank a lot to my teammate since we successfully complete our assignment in this subject and to my classmate that help us a lot in doing all the assessments in this semester. I wish you guys Good Luck for our final exam that coming soon and happy fasting everyone! 💗

Work in Progress!

Hi everyone! So, this is already week 13 and we just have another 1 week in order to finish this semester. How time flies right ? 😱

For this week, my group and I are still working on our e-learning courseware. We already have the draft of topic, objectives and our lesson last week, so this week we just create our courseware page by page by using Smart Builder. Since, we already done some part of it, we show it to Madam Azida. Madam Azida said that everything was okay and good. So, we are very excited to continue our courseware. Thank you Madam 💓

Furthermore, Madam Azida also taught us to put the audio in our courseware to make it more interesting. In learning this, we need to give full attention and focus more because there are many buttons to be click on in order to make our courseware become more interesting and fun! Since we brought our own laptop in the class, our courseware is almost done! Cant wait to show with you guys next week! Ohh by the way, next week we will have our quiz with Madam Azida, so don’t forget to study yaa my classmates! Hehehe I think that’s all from me, see you on the next post! 🙆🙆

Smart Builder!

Hi everyone! 🙆

Today, I want to share will all of you about Smart Builder. Do you guys ever heard about it? This is my first time heard about it and we need to learn to use this software since it will be our e-learning courseware assessment for this semester. This is our last assessment and we need to catch up in a very limited time.

Smart Builder is a fastest e-learning authoring tool for creating serious e-learning including scenarios, gamification, branching, assessments and many more. It is incredibly flexible yet easy to use tool. Everything we want to do with it, they have anticipated. Moreover, they have the best support we ever come across, and that's no exaggeration. By the way, we can use this software for free only for trials of 30 days and then we need to pay it if we want to extend the time but we are already in week 12 so we only have 2 weeks to settle this assignment. We are very grateful since Madam Azida will be with us and teach us step by step in every class and this week we have learn the basic in using that software.

So, my team have decided the topic in order to create a learning tool by using this software which is adverb. We have doing some sketch about how the template should be and our objectives. We hope we can use our creativity in doing this software. 💥💥

Gagne 9 Events

Hi everyone! 🙆

This week I will explain about model that my team and I have made to be present in the class. Do you still remember the model that I have told you guys last week? Haaa yeahhh, Gagne 9 events! 

 So, we find some information in the internet in the process of making this poster. This model is actually developed by Robert Gagne from North Andover, Massachusetts. He is an educational psychologist who pioneered the science of instruction in the 1940s.  Gagne created a nine-step process that detailed each element required for effective learning and this model is useful for all types of learning. These are the 9 steps in the Gagne 9 events: 

Next, this is our poster that we have made together to be present in the class. We also prepare a game using Kahoot! about this model so that our classmates need to answer the questions given. By doing this interesting game, we tend to remember the model easily. 😄

We also enjoyed ourselves with another groups in presenting their models. All of the posters are attractive and the games are fun. So, that all from me. Till we meet again on the next post! 🙋

Instructional Design

Hi everyone! We meet again and this week I want to share about instructional design 😁

In short, instructional design is the process by which learning products and experiences are designed, developed, and delivered. An instructional designer applies this systematic methodology (rooted in instructional theories and models) to design and develop content, experiences, and other solutions to support the acquisition of new knowledge or skills. Instructional designers ought to begin by conducting a needs assessment to determine the needs of the learning event, including what the learner should know and be able to do as a result of the training or learning solution, and what the learners already know and can do.

Instructional designers are then responsible for creating the course design and developing all instructional materials, including presentation materials, participant guides, handouts, and job aids or other materials. Instructional designers are commonly also responsible for evaluating training, including assessing what was learned and whether the learning solution led to measurable behavior change. Furthermore, there are many ISD models such as GAGNE 9 Events, Dick and Carey, Rapid Prototyping, Guaranteed Learning, ASSURE, and ARCS. So, my group members and I got GAGNE 9 Events model to be presented the next week. We need to make a poster and a game for that model. 

Next, Madam Azida also asks us to recall back about Bloom Taxonomy that we have learned during diploma time because it is important to classify educational learning objectives into their levels. Actually... I don't remember this at all hehehe so I think I need to try to remember it back 🙈

Our Campaign Video!

Hi everyone! 🙋
Today, I want to show all of you our explainer video. This video is about vaccine awareness. We discuss it together about the points that we want to put in our video and then we tried to be creative enough to edit this video hehehe. Finally, we manage to make this video together by using Animaker application. Our purpose in making this video is to make people out there aware about the importance of vaccination to all of us.

Other than that, we also got to watch another explainer video from others group. All topics are very interesting and everyone did a great job because every video are so attractive. Here, I want to share our video explainer about vaccine awareness. Hope you enjoy it ! 😍😍

Explainer Video

Hi everyone! 🙋🙋

For this week, Madam Azida showed us the example of explainer video as a guidance in creating our campaign video. It is interesting since the videos are very creative and attractive since the purpose is order to persuade and convince people when they watch the video. 😍

Madam Azida also assigned us to make a campaign video using Powtoon again. It is a group assignment and my group consist of me, Aifaa and Irdina. The duration for the video is about 2-3 minutes and we need to upload it on Youtube and our class blog later. 😎

My group decide to make a video about vaccination. We want to persuade people to get a vaccine and why it is so important for us. So, stay tune for our campaign video in the post! 💗💗

My Life Goals!

Hi everyone! 🙆🙆

So, this is my short video about my life goals... Finally, I can complete my life goals video successfully! This video is basically about my dreams and what I want to achieve in the future. Thank you Madam Azida for the guide in making this video. I like the way she teaches us because she will monitor all of us step by step. She also will give some ideas when we want to make the video more interesting and attractive. I’m so thankful to have her as my lecturer. 💓

I hope I can achieve my goals one day, Insyaallah Aamin.. Do follow in your dreams, believe in yourself and dont give up! 💪💪💪

Powtoon Time!

Hi everyone! 🙆🙆

It is already week 6 and we are learning about Powtoon for this week. Powtoon is actually a web-based animation software that allows users to create animated presentations by manipulating pre-created objects, imported images, provided music and user-created voice-overs.

So, Madam Azida teach us on how to use Powtoon by using the application. I find it is so interesting since it has many kinds of beautiful videos and pictures there! It is also easy since we can reate a personal narrative and immediately can publish to youtube. Then, a good aspect of Powtoon is that it let people to present a n attractive presentation without letting to get sleep the audience and it makes people have an interest in the video that we are proposing. Moreover, our activities this week by Madam Azida is creating a video entitled ‘My life goals’ by using Powtoon and need to be update for our next post 😱😱😱

BandLab & Audacity

Hi everyone! 🙋🙋

So, this is week 5 already and we got an assignment by Madam Azida which is creating a podcast. Madam Azida taught us on how to edit the audio by using Audacity and BandLab.

BandLab is a platform where the musicians and fans create music, collaborate and engage with each other across the globe. It is also a process of making and editing the music. 

Meanwhile, Audacity is a free and open source digital audio editor and recording application software. Both of these are a free application software, so we may use our own smartphone or laptop when we want to use it anywhere and anytime.  So, it would be useful for us in editing our audio later to make the sound smoother and clearer.

For your information, this is my first time knowing about Audacity and BandLab. So, I'm still in the process of learning and understand it but the application will help us to make the process of editing more simple and easy! You can try it too if you are interested, just google it okay!

Podcast Review!

Hi everyone! So, this week I learnt about podcast. Madam Azida asked us to listen to podcast through this link... http://podbay.fm/

We need to listen to any podcast that we want and review about it. Podcast is actually a digital audio file made available on the Internet for downloading to a computer or mobile device, typically available as a series, new instalments of which can be received by subscribers automatically.

So, I choose to listen to Stories Podcast - A Free Children's Story Podcast for Bedtime, Car Rides, and Kids of All Ages! The story is entitled Rapunzel! Hehehe, why I choose this story? I choose this story because I find it is interesting to hear and can be my lullaby too! Haha so when I hear it I can tell the story back to my cousins that all of them are below 7 as for their lullaby too hehehe! There also more about other channels too in the Podbay, you just need to find the topic that you want to hear!

Let’s start! So, this audio tells the story of Rapunzel which started with Rapunzel that live with the witch in the tower. There is no exit or entrance in that tower! The witch climbs up the tower to get up or down by using Rapunzel’s hair. One day, the witch went to the forest and Rapunzel feel so sad because she cannot go anywhere. She sang the song from the tower and the Prince can hear her voice and go near the tower. The Prince asked Rapunzel what she is doing at the tower and Rapunzel said that she was trap in the tower forever and had spell on her hair by the witch. The prince got so angry because he did not want any witch to be in the kingdom. He rode his horse and went back to castle to tell about Rapunzel to his father.

The next day, the witch back and Rapunzel shocked because the witch did not bring any food or drink. The witch got angry when she knew that Rapunzel got a visitor since she went to the forest. Rapunzel’s heart beats so fast because the witch told everything that the witch saw yesterday. Then, the Prince came with rope to safe the Rapunzel. The witch got so angry when she knew the Prince came. The witch had a fight with the Prince. Rapunzel tried to find a way to safe herself and the prince from the evil witch. After that, Rapunzel cut her long hair and suddenly, the spell on her gone. The witch got no magic anymore and disappear. The prince brought Rapunzel to run away from the tower by using the rope that he brought to safe Rapunzel. Last but not least, the prince asked Rapunzel whether she willing or not to stay at the castle with him and Rapunzel agreed with that idea! After that, Rapunzel discover a lot of new thing after a few years has been live as a prisoner in the tower with the evil witch.

Week 3

Hi everyone! 🙆

This is week 3 already, we just finished our mid-term break last week and back to our reality again this week hehehe. This week, I learnt about Search Engines and Online Database on Monday while on Thursday, I learnt about Computer-Mediated Communication (CMC).  

First, lets start with search engine. It is actually is a program that searches for and identifies items in a database that correspond to keywords or characters specified by the user, used especially for finding particular sites on the World Wide Web. Every search engine has its own database like Yahoo, Google and Bing. They have different results and information even if we search the same thing through these search engines.

Next, CMC which means Computer Mediated Communication is any form of communication or interaction between two people or more people via separate computers through network connection like E-mails, blogs, Wikis, chat rooms and video conferencing. It has 2 types of CMC which are Asynchronous that means communication is not synchronised (delay) and Synchronous means that communication is synchronised (in the real time).

Madam Azida also told us a new interesting of how CMC works for long distance learning without attending class and being in same location. There are various of notes and videos there that make learning will be more fun with it. It is good for students like us to find more information and gain a new knowledge. Time to Explore!

Hi everyone! Im back! hehehehe 👧

So, this is my second post and I will recall back what I have learnt during my second week in class since everybody was on holiday mood during that week. Even though all of us are thinking of going home but we still can focus on class with Madam Azida’s lecture hehehe.. 😆

The first thing that I learn during week 2 is CALL which means Computer Assisted Language Learning. When Madam explained about it in front of the class, I can recall back my diploma time since I have been using this kind of software for my micro-teaching. It will make the classroom become interesting and fun by using it.

Next, during the last class on that week, Madam Azida guided me and classmates on how to use Canva. I have heard about it before, people always talk that they edit something using canva, canva, canva….but I never know how to use it and what for to use it hahaha! So, I got really excited because it is my first time using it since Canva is actually a graphic-design tool website where the users can design on their own. Madam Azida asked us to design our first post entry based on our own creativity. There were a lot of design and layout there! All of them are too cute and I cannot make a right decision which design I want to choose for my first post hahaha! If you are interested, you can explore more to this website https://www.canva.com/

My First Class!

                                                                          

Hi everyone!

This is my first post and let me introduce myself first. My name is Nurmizan Syahira Binti Mazmee and people only call me ‘Sya’ for short.  I am going to be 23 years old on this 20^th February. I come from Kuala Terengganu.  I have been studying in Kolej University Poly-tech Mara Kuala Lumpur since my Diploma in 2014 and I am still struggling for my Degree here hehehe…😆

Last Tuesday was my first day in college for this semester on 2019 and this class which is Internet Technologies for Language is the first class that I entered on my first day. I felt very excited to start my first class! On our first meeting in class, Madam Azida has briefly explained about the course work and assessments for this subject and blog is one of the assessments that need to be updated every week. So, this blog will focus more on my reviews of the topics that I have learned in the class with Madam Azida.😍

My first impression about this subject is I am very scared actually because I am not really good and expert in technologies. Im just expert to use the basic only, I can be IT illiterate sometimes hahaha but I hope after learning this subject I will be more expert to handle with technology. I wish this subject can help me to gain a lot of information and experiences for the future. So, lets do this! See you on the next post! 💕
